10 years ago this month, the first batch of the car that was known as the 2nd generation Acura TSX in North America and the 8th generation Honda Accord in the rest of the world was produced. My TSX is one of those first-month cars, so I took a few photos to celebrate. I tried out a lens on my Canon 50D that I hadn’t used, before, a 55-250. I’m satisfied with how they turned out. A handful of these aren’t of the car itself, but seeing how the lens performed photographing other things.

These first two locations were on either side of an abandoned railroad crossing that a road that’s been bypassed once used until the late 1980s. There’s basically no traffic on them other than residents.

These next two photos were my two favorites, probably my favorite photos of the car overall so far.

A more centered version of the above photo.

Notice the vegetation creeping into the road due to lack of use.

This was once an automotive center decades ago.

Petersburg is full of old signage like the Coke one in the upper left corner.

Kinja'd!!!

This sign is an error; it should be a different shape.

The design has aged well, just like the 1st gen.

I see a white CU2 wagon around here a lot and it may be the prettiest everyday car Acura has ever made.

It makes the RDX look like the Elephant Man in comparison.

It really has. The beak isn’t the best grille design, but it didn’t totally ruin the looks like it did on the TL. There are other grilles that look better, but they’re made for the square H logo so it would look awkward with the circular A. (Example below is from Modulo, which is sort of the JDM equivalent of Honda Factory Performance.)

Had I waited a few months I might have been able to afford a wagon. I see a black one around town from time to time. It really is fantastic. I jumped on mine when I did because it was a 6-speed and a good price. Interestingly, one of the other vehicles I was considering when I bought it was an early RDX, which I thought looked quite good before the beak.
